Marketing Manager

52cb3d5a5326491563000185_icon-maps.svg
San Francisco, CA

You are an individual who is fascinated by the logistics of startup growth — someone whose curiosity and motivation is piqued by the challenges of acquiring users, reducing churn, and increasing revenue at mass scale.

As a sophisticated tool for design professionals, Webflow occupies a unique place in the marketplace by targeting users who are duly interested in honing both their web design and development workflows. There are many clever ways to leverage this dynamic when injecting Webflow into the discussions occurring throughout the web creative community. By thoroughly answering questions like, Where do our ideal users spend their time?, How can they be successfully engaged?, and How do we ensure they’re delighted by our product?, you’ll be equipped to ideate, orchestrate, and lead the execution of large-scale marketing initiatives to further bring Webflow to the masses.

Example projects as Marketing Manager include:

  • Leverage SEO techniques to develop a self-sustaining, long-term means of organic user acquisition.
  • Produce insightful and original content for the Webflow community so that we can increasingly become a thought leader in the web design space.
  • Locate, pitch, and successfully close partners who can engage with us in reciprocal relationships that increase both the size and engagement of our user base.
  • Orchestrate cross-medium CPA-based advertising campaigns, including the accurate targeting of potential users and the optimization of acquisition funnels.
  • Many additional large-scale growth initiatives that you are expected to ideate and pitch to the team.

You would work collaboratively with Webflow’s head of marketing to spearhead these projects while also being expected to initiate and execute your own projects without requiring close supervision.

This is a full-time and salaried position that includes health, dental, and vision benefits. We also offer significant equity in the company and awesome perks

REQUIREMENTS
  • Interest in user psychology and how to leverage it to raise brand awareness, improve key conversion metrics, and reduce churn
  • Understanding of SAAS products that address technical audiences, and how SAAS user experience and features affect user behavior
  • Strong writing skills, along with the ability to clearly communicate product value in a digestible and enticing manner to prospective users
  • Interest in diving deep into niche growth marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, and social media ads. Must have a mindset for methodical and iterative optimization so that you can ultimately achieve mastery in the highest-value marketing channels.
  • High-level experience with web analytics tools, including an understanding of key user metrics. If you don’t have the urge to repeatedly check your analytics throughout the week to A) see how effective your marketing has been and B) discover new insights to suggest improvements and propel new marketing endeavors, you won’t be the right fit for us.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own every part of a marketing campaign, from conception to design plus copywriting, all the way through to promotion and conversion measurement.
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the team.
  • Research and create examples of user behavior diagrams.
  • Stay on top of leading growth marketing tactics and the web design space.
  • Interface with engineers to find the intersection of product features / design tweaks and user retention.
Ideally
  • Have experience building websites (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
